These clips are from the BBC: Horizon documentary series entitled “We Love Cigarettes”. The advice Allen Carr gives is pretty good, it convinced me (a 5 year smoker) to quit cold turkey. It has been a couple months now and I’m still going strong. Update: It has been over one year since my last cigarette and I have never been tempted to look back. I really hope this simple advice has helped someone else.

Hi, I think he is right. I had smoked 10 years 15-20pcs per day, than I found out the key and stopped – the smoking loop isn’t primarily powered by lack of nicotine or any other chemical from the smoke, its just a doubt in our mind. Because when I woke up in the morning, in the first seconds I never had craving, but once I remembered the problem “OMG, I have to smoke”, the craving came imediatelly. So what you need is just to forget it, after that you are free. Sorry for my english.

ive used the allen carr easyway book i tried it a couple of years ago but didnt finish it within 2 weeks i was back on the cigs i was in a house full of smokers at the time i read the book again 2 months ago and havent had a cig since u dont get cravings just the trigger the odd time when u would usually have a cig after 3 weeks this stopped and i havent felt better my cough is gone.you can download his book for free just type “allen carr easyway pdf free download” into google.

I was given his “Easy Way” book 8 years ago and after 22 years of smoking I quit. I didn’t expect to, but I have never had the desire to smoke since. Tragically his method is not that well known, even though for those that finish the book there is an 80% success rate – even more amazing it’s completely painless. The problem is most smokers don’t like anyone telling them how to quit smoking, I was the same. Somehow I was given the book and in a moment of weakness I began reading it. Thanks AC RIP
