I quit smoking and now i sleep more then ever before why?
I had an addiction to smoking. My therapist said that a beautiful woman like me should not be smoking under any circumstance. then i quit and now im getting more sleep then ever why?
I don’t really have an answer but I can tell you you’re not alone. I have been smoking for 6 years and i have quit twice and when I do I get much more sleep. I think it may have been the withdraws. But I did hear that smoking has a tendency to keep you awake more if you smoke at night. Don’t know if it’s true or not but when I do have a cigarette before heading to bed I am a bit restless for a while.

Feb 16, 10 at 8:05 pmwell, my mom smoked for like 30 years and always smoked first thing when she woke up and when she went to bed now that she does’nt smoke she sleeps in sometimes, when before never would have. also, maybe it is because your body is not having to have that alarm of.. "i need nicotine..wake up". congratulations on quitting though!

Feb 16, 10 at 8:13 pmBecause smoking is a stimulant? It takes the average smoker 45 minutes longer to fall asleep than the non-smoker.
Your "therapist" sounds like an idiot, BTW. But congrats for stopping smoking.
